So my little girl, Krisha just turned 4 last week and this time we had a little Frozen themed birthday party arranged for her at home. I’ve posted all the pictures from the party on my Instagram. Do check them out. Today’s post is a mini tutorial on how I made
Today’s post is a mini tutorial on how I made Krisha’s birthday invites. It is an easy handmade party invite that would not require a lot of supplies.
If you do not know what this challenge is all about then you can read more about it here.
Now let us get started.
For the base of the card, I took this mildly textured blue A4 cardstock and folded it into half.
I had an outline of a flowy dress drawn on to the cardstock in a way where the puffy sleeves touch the folded edge like shown in the picture below.
I carefully hand cut them and this is how it should look like. (You can avoid these three steps if you have a Silhouette Cameo. Since I have quite a few invites to make the Cameo just made my task easy.)
Now comes the fun part! Jazz it up. You could use absolutely anything to embellish it. Use your creativity to the fullest. I decided to use some lace, ribbons, and rhinestones.
The blue mesh that I used for the dress is from one of Krisha’s old dresses.
I went ahead and customised each one adding the names of each kid on a tag tied around the waist.
Voila! Just like that, the birthday invite is ready. Easy peasy lemon squeezy!
Thanks for stopping by. I really hope I’ve inspired you to try one of these yourself. If you do try them out please don’t forget to share them with me.
