So last month, my darling little daughter turned 2. (Phew! I am still in shock!) She has grown up faster than I can imagine! It has been a roller coaster ride!! But the best part of being a parent in these 2 years is waking up to Krisha’s smile and snuggles every morning and witnessing the many milestones she has achieved in these two years. I simply love her to bits!!
Anyway, I had an amazing time organizing a small birthday party even though in a very short time. To be honest, I had no intentions of throwing her one because I wasn’t sure if she would really enjoy it. Krisha wasn’t very social and did not really like being around a lot of people. But lately, I noticed she was mingling better with the other kids and was getting better at her social skills. So it was only 2 weeks before her birthday did I decide to arrange a little birthday party. I wanted to make it really special for my little girl.
It was a must for me to have almost everything at this party to be handmade (All thanks to Pinterest for the last minute ideas)!!. It took me days of sleepless nights but was worth it all!
I decided to go with Owl as a theme because just like her mum she loves them too.
The next in line was to finish the party favors. These personalized frames were made for all the little guests coming for the birthday party.I also added some candies and other goodies into their goody bags. Here is how I finished packing each one of them, in these cute paper bags altered to look like an owl.I bought some some lanterns and altered them as well to go with the theme.
This altered letter K was my favorite piece on the table.I baked some chocolate walnut cookies and decorated it with chocolate chips and jelly beansI made some cone cakes topped with some whipped cream and sprinkles. As for snacks, the menu included wholewheat pizzas, spring rolls and corn cheese bites.
When you grow up and if you ever read this, I want you to know that I love you with all that I am and with all that I have!! Your ‘dada’ and I love you beyond measure!!
I highly doubt you will remember anything about this day but I am glad I am able to document your second birthday here as the Internet is forever!!
God Bless you!! May you grow up to be a wonderful girl and I am sure happiness and success will follow you.
Happy Birthday, Krisha!
